Home
I’ve been out walking through winter woods
I’ve taken my summers by the sea
Autumn shows me great kindness
Spring is what does it to me
The change in the weather uproots me
Rain brings a chill to the bone
The air reminisces familiar
I have a need to go home - I wanna go home
Well everyone searches for comfort
Geography settles the soul
The cure is the closure of distance
I worry I’m too far from home
I search for no travel companions
These memories are mine - mine alone
I’ve conquered mysterious changes
That took me so far from my home
I wanna go home
It’s there I’ll uncover my history
Of what happened if it happened at all
The demons demand that you witness
The truths of what you dare not recall
So you let the light in for the focus
Life finds its own parallel
You flash on the past of the ruins
Oh the stories one snapshot will tell
It’s hell to go home
I’ve been out walking through winter woods
I’ve taken my summers by the sea
Autumn shows me great kindness
Spring is what does it to me
