Musical Chairs

I found this bolt of fabric, and had to buy all that there was. This boudoir chair is from my childhood, and the piano bench came with my piano. I love having the option of pulling up a little seat next to the bench. Someday, I'll teach my grandchildren how to play and my tired ol' ass will sit on that tiny wrought iron chair, while some it'sy bit'sy 7 year old gets the whole bench. It'll be grand. Pardon the piano pun.

Piano purses Large, Medium

I designed these for myself. People kept asking me where I found them, so I'm considering making a few for sale. Made of Vegan Leather, which, by the way, is just vinyl, the same stuff our parents had on our kitchen chairs in the 50's. But the colors are fun these days! With piano keys on both sides of the bag, the black/tan one is the large at 15" long at the top, 11" long at the bottom and 8" wide. (so the base is 11" x 8". The purse is 11.5" tall. Very much like a hobo bag. Lined with quilted cotton, and has 2 interior slip pockets, and 1 interior zipper compartment. A detachable and adjustable shoulder/cross body strap.

Bass case

I made knapsack style shoulder Bass case out of Barbie Pink Vinyl for the Babe's bass player Deirdre Flint.

I traced her "Daisy Rock" heart shaped bass and drafted my own pattern. It was the funnest challenge ever!

Laptop carrying case

For her Birthday, Deirdre needed a new laptop carrying case. She sent me the specs, and I chose pink sparkle vinyl. With a "keyboard" on it. The lining is cotton, quilted onto foam, nice and soft. Complete with a 15" heavy duty zipper and an detachable optional cross body strap.

Clutch bag

For grins, I designed a cross body (or clutch) bag, and used the leftover pink from Deirdre's Bass Case, and made her a matching purse! At 10" wide by 7" tall, the top closure is a heavy duty zipper. Also lined in quilted cotton.

I was having so much fun, I made Babe Nancy Moran and Yellow and Black cross body clutch for her "Taxi" music conference!

Even in the powder room!

Yep, even in the 1/2 bath off the family room. Red towels, mustard yellow walls, blue accents, the whole room is like a box of crayons. And the crowing glory is the valance!

I even covered a card board box with this fabric.

On my sewing table, I'm always accompanied by my Sally Sewing Action Figure, sent to me by my St. Louis Pal, Julie Charles, who always sends me the goofiest stuff! So with her teeny tiny sewing kit, next to my sewing kit, she brings me great luck. PS. That little yellow thing in my action figure's right hand, is a yellow tape measure, not a blow dryer. Just sayin.
